Paseo del Descanso
Santa Barbara, CA
This project included both a building remodel and architecture addition to the existing Mediterranean construction of the dining and kitchen areas in this 1930s home. The architecture was enhanced with reused windows, doors and new high-efficiency glazed units in the same design style of architecture to bring daylight into the space. Other natural materials introduced into the architecture included hardwood flooring and cabinetry, limestone countertops, and plaster wall finishes. The architecture achieved energy conservation with a tankless water heater, Energy Star® appliances, and recessed lighting fixtures.
